admissions
We are currently enrolling Pre-K through 12th grade for the 2026-2027 school year!
Step 1 – Come see what HCA has to offer your family
You are always welcome to visit the school, observe a class in progress, and meet our friendly, talented teachers and staff. To schedule a tour, please call our Business Coordinator, Alysia Wertley, at 717-312-7595 or message her HERE. We can’t wait to meet you!
Step 2 – Complete the HCA Admissions Application
Complete and submit an application to move forward in the admissions process. You will then be notified and an academic assessment date for your child(ren) will be scheduled. An application fee of $100 per child or $150 per family (on or before April 30) or $200 per child or $300 per family (after April 30) is required prior to the test date. This fee is only refundable if HCA does not accept a student for admission. You may download the application HERE.
Step 3 – Student Assessment and Parental Questionnaire
All prospective students are tested academically. At the time of testing, we ask that parents supply copies of previous report cards, evaluations, transcripts, and standardized test results. Testing will take approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on the grade and ability level of the student. Parents will be asked to provide helpful information by filling out a parental questionnaire.
Step 4 – Parent and Student Interview
An interview will be scheduled between the administrator (or administrator designee) and both parents/legal guardians. The interview will take place at the school and will take up to one hour. Prospective students should plan to attend the interview with their parents.
Step 5 – Notification
Within 2-3 weeks of the interview, you will receive written notification of enrollment status.
Step 6 – Enrollment Paperwork
Once we receive all the required paperwork, your student will officially be enrolled at HCA. All students are accepted on a probationary basis. This probationary period lasts for no longer than nine weeks, (see handbook for details).
